General Questions

What is a notary public?

A notary agent prevents fraud by being there during the signing of important documents and making sure that the signers are who they are claiming to be and are in fact signing by their own accord.

Why do I need notary services?

Notaries are necessary when you are preparing a legally binding document. Notary agents make your signature official by bearing witness to your identity and signing the document attesting to that fact.

Do I need to book an appointment?

Yes. Since we are a mobile service, we do require appointments in order to fulfill your request. Call or visit our website to check our schedule and available time slots.

Where can we meet for my notarization appointment?

One of the advantages of providing mobile notary services is being able to go anywhere! Common locations include (but are not limited to): homes, offices, hospitals, assisted living facilities, correctional facilities, and more. We’ll go anywhere that is most convenient for you.

How long does an appointment take?

The duration of notarization appointment typically takes less than 30 minutes, but can vary based on the number of documents and required notarizations. We’ll give you a call after you book an appointment to confirm details including appointment length.

Are you available on weekends?

Yes. We offer notary services 7 days a week.

What forms of ID are acceptable?

We accept valid, non-expired government-issued photo IDs such as a driver’s license, passport, or military ID. However, we cannot accept DMV extension receipts, birth certificates, social security cards, or any other document without a photo. It is important to remember to bring your ID to your appointment or we cannot proceed with the notarization.

What if I don’t have a valid ID?

Don’t worry–we will still notarize your document(s)! We only need two credible witnesses with valid ID to be present who can confirm they personally know you and you are the person named on the document.

Can I cancel or reschedule my appointment?

Yes! You can cancel within Calendly (our booking system) or call us at (302) 621-4460. We understand that emergencies arise, but we kindly ask that you give us at least one (1) hour notice, if possible.

I can’t/don’t want to meet in person. Can I still get my document(s) notarized?

The short answer is yes. We offer Remote Online Notary (RON) services, which gives clients the ability to access a secure, online platform for notarization services without the need to meet in person. However, there are some transactions, such as apostille requests, that do not allow RON transactions. To verify if your transaction is eligible to be conducted through RON, please email or call us at 302-621-4460.
